I hadn’t even realized I lost it!
I went to a baseball game with my son for his birthday this year. We arrived at the park early and through some luck I managed to get a picture taken with his favourite player! We went to go get some snacks before the game started , and I guess somewhere between keeping an eye on my son and carrying the food back to our seats I lost my camera. Luckily just a couple days earlier my friend gave me a couple of recoverx tags to try for free. Right as I sat down I got a call on my cell phone letting know me someone had found my camera. I hadn’t even realized I lost it! Janet the friendly recoverx representative arranged for me to pick up the camera and I had it back in my possession before the first pitch was thrown! I got to take allot more great pictures of my sons birthday at his first ballgame, and the first thing I did when I got home was put tags on anything else I didn’t want to lose.

Found an abandoned laptop in the classroom
Kirby found an abandoned laptop in a classroom at the Okanagan College. He saw the Recoverex ID label on the computer and called the toll free #. He was concerned about the person who left it behind because it was "such a nice laptop".
He was very appreciative of the offer to send him the complimentary labels to thank him for his effort.
The recoverex customer service team called the home phone number of the registered owner of the labels and his son answered. He said his Dad was not home, so we asked to confirm the cell # we had on file and told him why we were calling. It turned out that we were speaking to the owner of the lost laptop, David. He was extremely relieved "you could hear it in his voice" recoverex agent recounts. "David told me that he had left his laptop behind in the class room, and when he realized it was missing, he went all over the school, contacting everyone and every department he could think of, such as security, lost & found, the library, the dean's office & the teacher who was in the class room after his last class" she continued. "David's response was "Oh awesome!" He told me that he thought it was a pointless idea to put a recoverex label on his laptop when his Dad gave it to him, because he thought he would never lose his computer. But when he got our call, he said that he was so happy that he did and that he was going to recommend our labels to all of his friends."
Claire called to report a found set of keys
When Claire called to report a found set of keys, we asked her where she found them. She reported that she found them in her 6 yr. old sons' pocket. The little boy couldn't remember finding the keys or even how they got to be in his pocket. So she gave recoverex a call when she noticed the Toll Free phone number. We informer her that we would look up the owner of the registered ID# on the keys and attempt to contact them.
When we spoke to the owner of the keys and told her that someone had found a set of keys that were registered to her, she admitted that the keys had gone missing "quite some time ago", and that she was certain that they were just misplaced "somewhere in the house". But when we told her that they were actually found by a 6 year old boy and told her the name of the Mom who reported the found set of keys, it became clear to her that the 6 year old boy was actually her grandson. This was not only an amusing discovery, but a testament to how well the recoverex service really works. Sometimes it is surprising where your things turn up.

Louise's husband found a cell phone "somewhere on Fir St.", brought it home and asked her to call the toll free #. I called Keith, the owner and told him that someone has found a cell phone that is registered to him. He said "oh yes, my wife lost her phone yesterday. That's great. Thank you." He told me that he had already shut it off with the wireless service provider, but now he'll just turn it back on again when he gets it back. We provided Keith with Louise's contact number that she provided and he contacted her and made arrangements to get his wife's cell phone back. He was just about to go and purchase a new phone, so he was very happy that he could avoid the additional expense.

I recently gave my phone to my son...
I recently gave my phone to my son and got myself a new one. The Recoverex system was one of my key rationales for allowing him to have the phone. He carries it with him whenever he is out without me, and both of us feel just a bit more secure. He was visiting the zoo with a group of friends and apparently at some point, he lost it. Fortunately, a teacher who had taken his class to the zoo had picked it up. He noticed the label with the toll free number on the back and made the call. When we arrived home, I found that you had sent me an email and a phone message. I am so happy to know that the labels work! It's a great system. Losing your phone can be stressful. Knowing there is a system in place to back us up really just makes it a much less stressful process.
